I am interested in getting thoughtful input from everyone on the best books...not just for survival but for rebuilding our future. Each of us have our own specialties and knowledge so that is a strong basis to list titles of what we would want in the perfect library for this upcoming future. Please post your list of text books, reference books, literature, etc that we do not think of when preparing for our families.

The Political Illusion, Ellul (1967)
THESE TIMELESS CLASSICS ARE INDISPENSABLE:
The Federalist Papers, Hamilton, Madison, Jay (1787-1788)
The Anti-Federalist Papers, Henry, DeWitt, et.al. (1787-1788)
Democracy in America, deToqueville (1835-1840)
The Wealth of Nations, Smith (1776/1778/1784/1786/1789)
Reflections on the French Revolution, Burke (1790)
No reading list will satisfy everyone. Also, the order in which books should be read for greatest benefit may differ. The two groups of ten prioritize
my preferences only in terms of more immediate concern. The first group of ten is more foundational. An ideal list would include extended comments
on significant content and relative importance. Input by others is welcome.

Re: Library
also wish to point out is the government now has the power and right to control all media , all internet, all electric run media, radio, TV, newspapers, magazines, etc. I do not see these freedoms coming back , but for now any hard copy books, printouts ,etc in your home is safe or can be hidden , also Obama care will bring on the government right to CHECK you out, search your home , mental checks of what you read , say, think, or do , we need to think as if we are in Communist China etc, I will not use Facebook,or kindle in any form, seeing what is fast coming our way... Obamacare,is total government control , that is why all the FEMA camps are being made ready...you don't fit the mold , you will get reeducation it's in the different new laws just put in place...

Re: Library
They have always controlled the media since at least the 1890s so these new laws just bring their activities out into the open . Read David Rockefellers statement about the press and its cooperation with helping move towards the new world order. It seems to me they are trying to push us into a civil war or uprising because the American people will only take so much before something snaps. Are you going to let some inspectors into your house? I don't participate on facebook or any other social media and my rather large library is old style paper books that I have been collecting for a half century.
Re: Library
We do not need to talk about what we would or not do,,But this time we have now can be used to get that book we wanted, and stock up on information that we may at a later date not find in open market, and PRICE alone will stop people from good books if we have money/stock market crash , it will be back to base needs like food etc...
