Add Welding to your Capabilities

This is top of the list for current projects. I have managed to acquire an old riding lawnmower that is being rehabilitated. It has an 18 hp Briggs & Stratton engine, and my hopes are a self-propelled welder, air-compressor and anything else I can think of to throw on the PTO. Recommendations from a mechanic were to find a caddy or other vehicle decked out with accessories to salvage a bull alternator.

What I have bought in the past for purposes like this is about a 1976 cadillac ( with power everything )generator I think it was 1977 that they convertted to alt., at a parts store but the last time I checked they had to order it and the first one I bought for hard times they had on the shelf, that should tell you how many years I've been trying to prepare...........however you may try garden state auto electric they build and rebuild old generators at 6 old york rd....908-788-0762, dont tell em whitewolf sent cha.
