My wife receives 300 syringes every three months from the Air Force. She has been able to double her back-up supply by using each syringe twice. She has a special container for the syringe - uses it once then thoroughly cleans it with an alcohol wipe and back into the container. She never uses a syringe more than twice. After the second use she breaks it and into the bio can (garbage can). Sub-cutaneous syringes cannot be used to inject drugs but she makes sure she breaks them anyway.
