A couple of years ago I was looking for a human-powered lawn mower when gas started going up. I happened to see one in the Vermont Country Store catalog. Lo and behold it was made in the USA! I saw one at Ace made in China and I decided, no thanks. Ordered the mower - Green Mountain Mowers made in Vermont. I ordered the 14-inch mower and it came by regular US mail - 30 pounds. I opened it, put it together and was flabbergasted by its sturdiness. The next step was on our lawn, a small one by all accounts. It pushed very easy and actually CUT the grass instead of ripping it apart like a power mower does. Neat, easy and am very satisfied.
