my chicks are now laying eggs, in fact this is a easy food growing way , made a nice coop with heavy wire at bottom , laid plywood down for a base , is easy to clean etc, the chicks go up top at night and I close the door to keep them safe. I get brown eggs, and feed them extra stuff like vegies such as grape tomatoes , any stuff too much from the garden .. so all is getting used.....
