Disposable medical tweezers

by Toepopper » 10 Dec 2011 08:39

I have found a new item in the surplus and survival stores. Plastic, use once then throw away medical tweezers. They are cheap ($2.89) and well made with a fine point to remove sticks and twigs and other debris from open wounds before washing the wound with saline solution or iodine. These tweezers are larger than the home version and are easier to work with and when done they are meant to be tossed in the round file instead of recycled and sterilized through the autoclave. Very lightweight and a convenient item to add to your medical kit.
