I had read an article about solar ovens in one of my magazines, it looked pretty easy to execute using readily available materials. The magazine is Backwoodsman Magazine and if I can find the article, I'll put up the mag issue it's in if anyone wants to look at it.

Yes. I carry a reflective accordian type windshield sun screen that will reflect sunlight when placed in a semi circle around a pan and it will generate enough heat to cook eggs and warm up canned goods. It wasn't designed for this but it works fine just the same. There are solar ovens on the market designed for cooking and they work quite well providing there is sufficient sunlight. When its cloudy you can use them for a boat anchor.
