I have one of the kits that you listed. I was lucky enough to obtain it at no cost, 6 years ago! I've used every tool in it (except the hand shovel) around the campfire through the years and they are all solid. I have used the hatchet most and it is tough. Not sure of the proper name but it has a spot on the back of the head for pounding on like a maul. I have beat on that thing with small logs (splitting wood) and it is still holding up. The only thing I have done to it is take a file to the cutting edge occasionally. The hand saw is very aggressive and works well, I've used that second most. The multi tool works well but I have so many different ones I lose track of which I'm using sometimes! It is Gerber and I have had no complaints about it though. The flashlight is a regular maglite style. I have a military entrenching tool I use so I just never put the one from the kit through its paces.
Overall a nice kit to have around.
