Dryflex

The DryVit corporation has developed a new waterproofing product named DRYFLEX and released it for sale to the general public. This material is designed to be used below grade for the purpose of waterproofing basement walls that are constructed of concrete block, poured concrete, unglazed brick, or insulated concrete forms. It can be used as an adhesive to attach extruded polystyrene insulation boards for below grade applications to concrete/masonry/plastered walls. It is a high percentage acrylic co-polymer material which is mixed with Portland cement to produce a water resistant base coat and adhesive. It is white in color before adding cement and comes packaged in 5 gallon plastic pails that weigh 45 pounds. The material is mixed with a paddle mixer in a 1/2" drill so there is no need to have a cement mixer or get sand delivered to the job site. It is sold at your local DRYVIT materials supplier.
