At least your order is likely to be filled first when they refill their stock.
I once had a set of remote communication wired "phones" my folks gave me for a single digit birthday gift. Battery powered and I assembled them myself and they worked great. Distance could be just about any length if you have sufficient two strand wire. I imagine there may also be plans online to build your own with parts and pieces from somewhere like Radio Shack. I'm gonna take a look round. Back later!

I find them on sportsman's guide but they are gone as I order. I guess you have to be fast? Or are they just slow to remove them from their website?

Only places I've seen them has been at online locations.

www.cheaperthandirt.com

www.sportsmansguide.com

What I've seen at both sites have been reasonable in both price and condition. They don't always have them in stock but they do have them most of the time.

Where are the best places a person can find field phones and their equipment? We seem to be dry in this area including our army navy stores.

I've considered adding a field phone system to my BIL supplies but haven't committed to it yet. Mostly because I have hand-held FRMS/GRMS radios that have a rechargeable battery pack. I also have an FCC radio license to use the GRMS frequencies in current times.
I have 12v batteries and means to charge them along with DC inverters to supply power to operate the AC powered radio chargers so that we can be a bit more mobile than having to be tied to a wire arrangement.
Still, when having to keep the perimeter secure for a large area, strategically located and manned posts are invaluable and this is where a field phone arrangement would shine.
My area of perimeter is nowhere large enough to require it. For the future I have no way of knowing whether or not this system would be necessary but, I'll likely obtain one, or more, or build one, or more, for when my land holdings and area of responsibility may increase.
