First, I would not take colloidal silver, except when the need calls for it, anymore than would I take an antibacterial regularly. I believe it best to build our bodies immunity. That said, there are times we must take desperate measures.
I make my own silver and have for years. It's a simple process. Electricity is electricity and it is either alternating current ]AC] or direct current [DC]. You can increase voltage (pressure) of electricity. You can increase the amperage. You can increase the frequency. You can feed it back on itself. You can dump it in a load to create heat or light. You can switch it and you can read the times it switches or monitor the paths the switching causes. In the end, it is still electricity. Colloidal silver is, essentially, and electroplating process done using DC. The only thing that changes making it is the amount of amperage, the pressure, or voltage used to make it, and the material it's made in.
Most making colloidal silver use distilled water, for its purity. However, its purity does not allow it to conduct current, so it is mildly contaminated to allow the water to conduct current and allow electricity to flow from a negative silver plate to a positive plate.
Colloidal silver can be made using batteries or a DC power supply. An old power source from a child's toy train works well, since it both converts AC to DC and allows you to vary the amount of voltage, up to 36VDC. I picked up two at garage sales for about a buck each, so keep your eyes open. You can also wire three nine volt batteries in series so you have 27VDC. They will last a good long while for this purpose.
I bought a silver ingot and cut it in half to form the plates for my "Colloidal Silver Generator," or you can spend up to a couple hundred bucks on the net and get the same thing in a cute package. They'll probalby through in some nice LED lights too. Alternatively, you can spend $28.00 or more for four ounces of "special" stuff from a health food store.
They say you can contaminate your distilled water with a drop or two of saline. Sea salt would probably work. It would only take a crystal or two. Next, connect you two silver plates (the ingot cut in half, or some 99.9% pure silver jewelers wire) to the negative and positive outputs of your power supply and drop it in the water. Don't let the wire leads rest in the water, You just want colloidal silver, not colloidal electrical wire.
With the power on, you will see silver flowing off the negative plate in short order. I don't make more than a glass at a time and within seconds after I see silver flowing off the plate I end the process. As elsewhere said on this thread, more is not better.
If you make more than a glass of colloidal silver, you should stir the water to mix the silver in. Of course, use a wood, glass or plastic stir device.
Using your own silver generator, you can make what would be thousands of dollars worth of solution.
Wikapeida has a very good bit of information on this subject and should be considered (I got called to task elsewhere for my ignorance and I hate crow). One of the things claimed is milk and other things neutralize silver. As well, stomach acid may affect it's use too. As such, it might be I should look at topical absorption for internal use, since the skin absorbs good and bad alike.
As it has been said, be careful. The Bible says "everything in moderation," and it makes NO exceptions.
